It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the transition of our beloved Pastor, who has gone from labor to reward and entered his eternal home with the Lord.

While our hearts are broken and words seem inadequate, we find comfort in knowing that a faithful servant of God has fought the good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith. His life was devoted to preaching the Word of God, loving God’s people, and faithfully serving the ministry entrusted to him.

Pastor was more than a preacher behind the pulpit. He was a shepherd, teacher, leader, counselor, spiritual father, and faithful servant whose love, wisdom, prayers, and leadership have left an everlasting mark on our church and the lives of so many.

During this incredibly difficult time, we ask that you keep First Lady Richardson, the Richardson family, and our entire Progressive Missionary Baptist Church family lifted in your prayers. We especially ask God to surround First Lady with supernatural strength, comfort, peace, and His loving presence in the days ahead.

We lovingly ask that everyone please refrain from calling First Lady at this time and allow her the privacy and space she needs to grieve, process this tremendous loss, and be surrounded by her immediate family. Your prayers, love, patience, and understanding are deeply appreciated.

Though our hearts ache today, your labor was not in vain. The seeds you planted, the lives you touched, and the legacy you built will continue to live on through generations. Rest well, Pastor. Your labor, your love, your leadership, and your legacy will never be forgotten.
